Marc Vedo Profile

Style: Trance (Incorporating:progressive/light/tech/hard), House (Incorporating: US/Vocal/Chunky/Tough)

Marc Vedo is a DJ with a pedigree of years of experience, and still only 26. A most sought after DJ, with his own club brand blowing up dance floors across the UK and a soaring international career playing regularly for the biggest names in the scene. Marc’s been making a lasting impression on clubbers everywhere with his uplifting funky sounds and his peak time trance sets. Having played at many of the worlds leading club brands from Godskitchen and Ministry of Sound to UK festivals such as Homeland’s and Escape in the park. This combined with his incredible technical ability, was what prompted Mixmag to dub him ‘the new Sasha’ a few years back, all in all some would say Marc has the complete package and the makings of a modern day superstar DJ.

A bit premature perhaps for such a young fledgling talent, but DMC also recognized the potential and were the first agency to sign him. Sundissential were next recruiting Marc as a full resident, with Miss Moneypennies and Slinky following suit shortly after. Marc’s residency with the legendary Miss Moneypennies lasted for 5 years and Slinky for 3 years. Having been demonstrating his ability at the highest level, both at home in the UK and on the international circuit for many years, playing both house and trance at many of the worlds top clubs/venues.

Keeping true to both his roots, as well as pioneering his own trance brand Koolwaters, and playing for some of the biggest names in the trance world, Marc has taken his funky passion into his own hands, by starting “Something Fruity”. Only in its infancy, this new night of quality funky house music, which Marc himself is a resident at, has already been dubbed by Mixmag as one of the best up and coming funky nights in the country for 2003. Pete Tong rated it as his top night out on his essential selection on Radio 1. Regular guest have included Norman Jay, Smokin’ Jo, Darren Emerson, Danny Rampling, Sandy Rivera, Felix Da House Cat, Junior Sanchez, Boy George, Rob Da Bank, Junior Jack & Kid Crème and ATFC.

Whilst “Something Fruity” has been making its mark in the industry, Koolwaters has more than established itself as one of the current market leaders in the dance industry. Having booked artistes such as The Chemical Brothers, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Fergie, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Mauro Picotto, Marco V for its various club events across the globe. As head promoter of Koolwaters, Marc and his dedicated team are now heavily concentrating on organizing more overseas events and festivals for 2004 and beyond, whilst continuing to build on the clubs UK success.

Future dates with many of the worlds leading promoters and clubs such as Ministry of Sound, on top of wooing crowds around the world make Marc one of the most versatile DJ’s in the industry. With a collection of high profile bookings already in place for 2004, combined with the regular press coverage in all major dance magazines, it’s not hard to notice that Marc is one of the most consistent stars on the DJ circuit today.

On the production front, Marc is currently in the studio with The Conductor and The Cowboy duo (Serious) working on a follow up song to the duo’s hugely successful Top 40 hit, “Feeling This Way”. The single reached number 27 in the UK Charts and was signed to 17 compilations worldwide, including the popular “Annual” by Ministry of Sound. Marc’s own production credits, include “Format” (Nukleuz), “DJ’s make a move” (Loopgroove), “The Poll trax” which Mark co-produced with Steve Thomas, as well as re-mix work for Nu-Life, Nukleuz, Loopgroove and Koolwaters Recordings.
