Baptised into clubland at the tender age of 15, Robin found his first adventures into DJ land at the legendary South coast hardcore club STERNS , playing alongside the likes of Slipmatt and the Ratpack. This was short lived though, As he soon found himself championing tracks on the smoother audio train of deep & soulful house.
After the usual slog of hard work in and around the local bars and clubs of the South East he had built a strong local following, but Robin’s first big break came with the legendary GARAGE CITY in London. After a nationwide competition, Robin found himself winning the final. This led in turn to gigs at Garage City itself (including NYE) plus a guest mix on Kiss FM & a trip to the WMC in Miami. By 1999 he held the residency at THE loft (the predecessor to CLUB CLASS in Maidstone) alongside the then unknown DJ NIC FANCULLI . A successful period here saw him play host to the likes of JOEY NEGRO, DELI G, PAUL TROUBLE ANDERSON, TUFF JAM, BOBBY & STEVE, JO MILLS, TERRY FARLEY, to name but a few.
In 2000, Robin was at it again, this time it was the MINISTRY OF SOUND . Once more, a nationwide contest saw him winning, and guesting at the world famous south London venue. This was shortly followed by a glowing review in DJ magazine and regular appearances at clubs in and around the South including the DEVIOUS/SOUTH COAST WEEKENDER.
Robin is currently living and working in Newquay, Cornwall as part of the hugely successful team behind the Koola Klub & Chy Bar, with regular appearances at other South West gigs including VIRUS, EXPANDED SOUL, SOUL HEAVEN, plus the KOOLA KLUB’s HOUSE RULES & SHANGHAI DISCO nights, guesting alongside DJs such as LOTTIE, YOUSEF, DIGIT, SMOKIN BEATS, SETH SANCHEZ & SI GRACIA, CRAZY PENIS, FREESTYLERS, AARON ROSS & ERIC MORILLO.
For the past 4 years, he has also hosted the OceanSoulSessions on Newquay’s Malibu Surf FM, giving scope to broadcast a whole range of soul music. He is also now working in the studio with production partener PK (Stereo Mutants – Smokin Beats/Maya Records NYC) on his long awaited debut tracks.
