Lee
Haslam
Club Euphoria, Camborne - Saturday 7th
Aug 2004
By Ashley Taylor
First of all, apologies for the time
it took to write this review, we have all
been busy as hell over the last week or
so. The night kicked off at 10:00pm with
Ashley Taylor playing a nice euphoric trance
set that got the early arrivals in the
mood for the night set ahead.
Towards the end of Taylor’s set
he picked the pace up slightly to make
way for the second man up, James Martin.
A cracking set was delivered from James
Martin as always, as he carried the pace
on through and kept the dance floor moving
to make way for the last of the nights
supporting DJ’s Simon Williams.
Simon always brings the place to life
and puts you in the mood when he gets on
the decks, jumping around with his hands
in the air, lovin it! Once again Simon
never fails to please with his set. Taking
it to another level for the last half an
hour in preparation for Lee Haslam who
was to play 12-2am.
Lee received a warm welcome from fellow
clubbers and kicked off his set with a
superb intro. Lee once again never fails
to disappoint, keeping the crowd going
all night with a stonker of a set seamlessly
mixed and delivered in Lee’s own
unique style. His choice and selection
of tunes was superb with him also playing
a lot of unreleased stuff of his that clubbers
hadn’t heard yet.
What can I say? The bloke is a legend
of trance!
At the end of the night Lee was also
happy enough to pick a winner for our competition
to win a new CD micro system signed by
the man himself along with our CD and promo
vinyl give away.
Lee totally enjoyed himself and we all
look forward to playing alongside him again
sometime in the not to distant future.
It was good to see that the night in general,
was busier. And to see faces there that
haven’t been to the club before
along with the faces that have been before
and returned for more. Thanks for all the
support.
All in all I would say it was a mint
night had by all.
